Flower tattoos
Lilies, small blossoms and botanical motifs in a fine line or in dark shading. All three artists do them, each in her own way.
Flowers are the motif people come to us with most often, and also the one where the gap between “a nice reference from the internet” and a tattoo that lasts is widest. A plant has thin lines and many transitions; made too small, the detail merges after a few years.
What suits where
- Forearm and upper arm: the most rewarding place. A flat surface, the motif is visible and heals well.
- Shoulder and shoulder blade: takes a larger composition with several blooms.
- Wrist and ankle: a simple motif only — there is little room for fine detail and the skin moves a lot.
Fine line or shading?
Lucie and Klára do flowers in a fine line and in small-scale realism — a clean outline, restrained shadow, a light feel. Tereza does them in a darker illustrative take with strong contrast. The difference shows best in the photos below.
Worth knowing beforehand
Bring several references by all means, but expect a design of our own to come out of them — we do not copy someone else's tattoo. Consultation and design are free, so size and composition are open to discussion with no commitment.
