Snake tattoos
A snake across the shoulder and chest in a dark illustrative style. Tereza's work.
A snake adapts well to the body — it follows the shoulder, the spine or the edge of a forearm without needing a regular frame. That is why it is often chosen as a first larger piece.
Why it is drawn on the spot
A snake is designed for a particular body, not from a template. Where the body bends, the motif bends; on paper it looks different than on a shoulder. Expect to see the final shape only once it is stencilled onto the skin.
Size and number of sessions
A small snake on the forearm is a single sitting. A piece across the shoulder and chest usually takes several — how many exactly the artist will say after a consultation, as it depends on the density of the shading and on how you handle longer sessions.
Who does it here
Tereza, in dark illustrative realism. It is her territory: strong contrast, depth and dark areas that give the motif volume.
