Sun tattoos
A sun with a face on the upper arm, a fine line with light shading. Klára's work.
A sun is a rewarding motif because it works at both extremes: as a small symbol the size of a coin, and as a worked-out face with rays across the whole shoulder. The choice between them follows from how much detail the face should carry.
A sun often comes with another symbol
A moon, stars or a compass — it becomes a small set that can be added to over time. If you have that in mind, say so at the consultation: the placement of the first motif is then designed to leave room for the rest.
Placement
The upper arm and forearm are the most common and safest choice. A sun on the wrist or behind the ear is done too, but it has to be simple — fine rays at a small size merge over the years.
